This week flew by! Holy cow.
For me, the week started with some weird cramping just below my belly button - my dr assured me this is ligaments stretching and nothing to worry about. I've continued to battle nausea but realized my trigger is spicy food - anything spicy - even a tablespoon will result in nausea soon thereafter. Sad since I LOVE spicy food! Sleeping has been tricky. My blood sugars are mellowing out after a rough week before. I've been having nose bleeds a lot, have been clumsy, having trouble sleeping, and am very forgetful - thank heavens for post-it notes!!!
Today I'm having some spotting which is completely freaking me out - no cramping really, but I haven't really had spotting yet so I'm hoping it is fine - I did a google search and seems it's not uncommon, but still. Emailed my dr and waiting to hear back.
In terms of development, from http://www.babycenter.com/6_your-pregnancy-15-weeks_1104.bc?read_more=1&scid=mbtw_preg15:981&pe=2UvuHCR&st=MjAxMDEyMjc=:
"Your growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple). She's busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. Her legs are growing longer than her arms now, and she can move all of her joints and limbs. Although her eyelids are still fused shut, she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, she's likely to move away from the beam. There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but she is forming taste buds. Finally, if you have an ultrasound this week, you may be able to find out whether your baby's a boy or a girl! (Don't be too disappointed if it remains a mystery, though. Nailing down your baby's sex depends on the clarity of the picture and on your baby's position. He or she may be modestly curled up or turned in such a way as to "hide the goods.")
See what your baby looks like this week."
Fingers crossed all is well.
It sounds like everything is going so well! I could not be happier for you! I had really, really easy pregnancies but with each one, my memory has gotten worse and worse. And it's never come back! Scary! Oh well...small price to pay. I can't wait to hear what you are having. Do you have a feeling? I knew for sure I was having a boy every time. 3 out of 4...not bad. :0)
ReplyDeleteHi Andrea! That is funny about knowing you were having a boy and being right 3/4 times - I love it. I had a dream I was having a boy, and another friend did, and Blake and I think it's a boy - BUT other people feel like it's a girl. We shall see! :) Thank you so much for your note!!!
